Abbey manor Park is situated in the North West corner of Yeovil, Somerset. It is a thriving community which has grown over the last few years. At the middle of the estate is the "Forum" which provides a range of retail shops, the Arrow pub,a Community Centre and health care for humans and pets. The community centre is well used by a variety of clubs and societies. It is available for hire for functions.
The open green space "Oak tree park", which is now about 5 years old, has become established. It has large open spaces, a children’s play area, a hard court for Basket/ Football and a Skate park. The park has several large old Oak trees and has had a large amount of plants and young trees planted.
One of the oldest parts of the Estate is possibly St James' Church at the bottom edge of the estate.
There are many small business based within the estate, electricians, plumbers, double glaziers, builders, computer repair, domestic appliance repairs etc.
I am trying to put together a history of the the Abbey manor estate, if you have any information please email.
